WHY A FLAT-PACK

Built-camper tough.
Kit-camper price.

Hard-sided

Insulated composite shell, not canvas. Warm nights, cool days, real security.

Dust-sealed

Positive-pressure cabin pushes bulldust out. Built for corrugations, not just carparks.

IRS-stable

Torsion-isolated mount lets the chassis twist without cracking the box — the thing that kills cheap campers.

Won't leak

Compression-drained joints seal by bolt torque, not your caulking. Moulded wet-cell you never waterproof.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Flat-pack campers, honestly.

Is there a flat-pack camper you can build yourself in Australia?+

Yes — this is it. A hard-sided composite shell that ships flat and bolts together in a weekend, with drop-in kitchen, power and shower cassettes. Existing "kits" are van interior fit-outs; Overland is a full structural camper for a ute or trailer, from A$8,900.

Do flat-pack campers leak or fall apart?+

A badly-designed one will. Overland is engineered against it: stressed-skin panels (no frame to rot), a compression-drained joint that seals by bolt torque — not your caulking — with a drain channel behind it, a torsion-isolated mount so corrugations don't crack the box, and a one-piece moulded wet-cell you never waterproof yourself.

Can I put a hard-sided camper on my ute tray?+

Yes — the Weekender and Touring are sized for a 1-tonne ute's usable payload (~300–500 kg), with ≤25 kg panels for two-person lifting. The Expedition (with internal wet-cell) is heavier and suits a braked trailer or a GVM-upgraded 4WD.

How long does it take to build?+

About a weekend for two people with the supplied tool — no measuring, no cutting. Numbered panels, torque-limited fasteners and a labelled plug-and-play harness. The Weekender is roughly a half-day.
